Ch 2.5 ~ The passing of time

Journal Entry 5

~The passing of time~

Well, life surely is a whirlwind of events when there are tiny babies in the house.  My journal had to go on the back burner for awhile.

Thankfully I had mom to help out.  She really loved her grandbabies, I think they came when she needed them most.  She just seemed so desperate to love someone again.

I used the time at home to work on my athletic skill for work, I was determined to literally run up the promotional ladder.

I think I can... I think I canGeraldine decided to redo mine and mom’s portraits now that she was more skilled in her painting.

Working on mom's portraitWorking on Maxi's paintingShe had completed  three more novels, with various themes and the highest royalty she received was $298. *novels listed in ch. 2.2*

She was becoming a well-read author and I suspected it would not be long before she reached her LTW.

Geraldine had also made a name for herself as an acclaimed artist and her paintings were now fetching in excess of $1000 per painting.  This really helped towards saving for the building of our Legacy Home.

Soon the girls had aged up to toddlers and I was back at work.  Because of my hard work  while on maternity leave, I got promoted as soon as I returned to work.

I was now a Safe Cracker, earning $102 per hour.

Evangeline had inherited dad’s blonde locks!

When mom was not at work or with the twins, she was in the garden.  She had become so quiet and withdrawn.  She at least however had maintained a strong friendship with Goerge Dean and he made her smile sometimes.

Mom in the gardenI actually forgot it was my birthday, lol, I aged up one day on the way home from work outside Goerge Dean’s house.

Jefferson forgot his birthday as well.  He was really absorbed with his music but he always had time for the twins.

It’s really moving fast now! I wish I could have seen both the girls and what their dad looks like… Not complaining, though, this is a great story! 🙂

I tried to give Maxi a different writing style to Morticia, since they are both such different ladies.

In these few beginning chapters I wanted her to explain a bit about the spares as I did not want them to become neglected.

I assure you there are many pics of the girls coming, but I will take your advice and put more toddler, baby and daddy pics when the next generation unfolds.

I didn’t want to put too many pics in, but at the same time I didn’t want to put too little, or put irrelevant pics in that did not fit into the theme of the chapter, I guess finding the perfect balance takes practice.

    Thanks as always moondaisy!
