Chapter 1.8

Last night my cell phone rang… it was Jon.  My stomach started doing belly flops the moment I heard his voice and I cursed myself for my lack of good sense!  He was returning from his tour in two days and he said he needed to talk to me.

Did he have a momentary lapse of memory where he forgot he slept with Constance??  THAT JERK!

Of course, after my brief weak at the knees moment I told him to go jump in the lake, take Constance with him and put the phone down.

OF ALL THE BLINKING NERVE!! Argh! Men can be so infuriating.

Half an hour later he called back, singing a love song on the other side of the phone.  I could not hold back the tears.  They just rolled down my cheeks uncontrollably.  My voice got stuck in my throat and I could not speak.

He asked me how the baby was, he said he had thought about us every passing moment of everyday since last we saw each other.  He said he needed to explain things and begged to see us the day of his return.

Proberbly against my better lack of judgement, I agreed.

Jon and me

When Jon arrived he immediately took my hands and said how sorry he was he had hurt me.  He said he knew he needed to explain and he wanted to be honest with me about everything.  With apprehension I nodded for him to continue.

He said that a year ago Constance had contacted him about doing an interview on him for a celebrity gossip magazine she freelanced for.  His manager had said it would be good publicity.

While she was “researching” his background for the article, he had had a ‘fling’ with Contance.  He had ended it however as she was very demanding and seemed to be using the celebrity status of being with him to boost her career.  She vowed she would get her revenge.

**This sounded like an episode of The Bold and the Beautiful for heavens sakes!**

I told Jon so precisely!

He said he knew it sounded ridiculous, but he continued with more.  He said that Constance had found out that he had flunked out of school and had before that been expelled from a prestigious school for groping the headmaster’s daughter after curfew in the broom closet.

**I had to giggle at that** *lol*

When his music career had kicked off  his manager had said it would be a good idea to create a ‘phoney’ school career and pay the right people to keep quiet as the reality was not appropriate to the “image” they were trying to project.  He reluctantly agreed because he thought his manager new best.

Constance had her beady eyes beamed on Jon’s impressive genetics.

**frankly who would’nt want  them… look at him! **

Erm, back on topic.

So Constance contacted Jon and threatened to spill the proverbial beans if he did not provide her with a sample of his erm, genetics.

She had been undergoing fertility treatment as she appeared to be barren and since no man wanted her ….

** I wonder why??**

the next best thing was from a cup??  o.O

Jon felt that he had no option and reluctantly went down to the clinic to provide said sample.

He said that Constance was jealous of our relationship and that is why she didn’t give me an accurate reflection of events that day at the Bistro.

**That conniving hussie!**

He said the reason he was ‘off’ with me when I went to his house to break the news is because he was so ashamed of what he had done and that he had not been open with me as I had with him about my kleptomania.

He said he did not feel worthy to be in my presence and he had said I was behaving innappropriately and walked off as he could not bare to look me in the eye.

He apologised and said he knew he was wrong to do that and he begged me to forgive him for not been honest.  He gave me the number of the Doctor at the fertility clinic and said I needed time to think.

He squeezed my hand and sadly turned around with slumped shoulders and went home.

Wow! That is a lot of explanation… I just started to enjoy disliking him, but now he’s … ehm, kind of decent. Can’t wait to see what Morticia will make of it all! (I would still rob him blind!)

    • worsiedog · October 9, 2009

The baby with Constance kind of floored me! I was so shocked!

Morti did still steal stuff from him btw.. lol.

  2. amberiasoasis · October 16, 2009

Constance IS a hussy…she broke poor Colleen’s heart in my story (well…sort of).

    Stupid Constance.

    • worsiedog · October 16, 2009

LOL!! YES!!! I read that in your story! I had this uncanny feeling of dejavu!

I was so happy with the end result in the elder years though.

Your Connolly Legacy is oneto watch!

~trying to decide if I should believe Jon’s story or not~

The fertility clinic thing is a great way to explain the random spawning the game does, though!

    • worsiedog · October 29, 2009

This random spawning thing, really stumped me! I had to think of a creative ‘believable’ and realistic story to fit into the chain of events.

I was so peeved with Jon for so long… but I really do have a soft spot for the man, and blamed EA’s ‘lack of testing efficiency’ for this balls-up.

Thanks for reading through my legacy DB.

Gee… thats a really weird turn of events!

  5. worsiedog · November 7, 2009

LOL! The broad brush one-liner reigns supreme! 🙂

    Thanks for reading MrParachute *winke*

How did you find out that the baby was Jon’s, anyway? I haven’t really explored the world of Sim social interactions, as you know, so I’m a bit in the dark on some of the interpersonal stuff.

    • worsiedog · November 12, 2009

Haha Catherine, well socialising is ‘inefficient’ after all, now isn’t it?

In Maxi’s family tree, Lamar shows up as her half-brother.

  7. jurocha · December 12, 2009

LOL. This fertility story could be the craziest-ever excuse for a jerk! But since Constance has a past…

Amazing how our Sims force us to come up with the most original ideas to explain wtf their offspring has a half-brother/sister of about the same age when they (the parents) were so in love. 😉

    • worsiedog · December 12, 2009

🙂 Yes, well I really had to get creative with this one… stretched the boundaries a bit here, but I wanted Morti and Jon to stay together so I had to come up with a plausible reason to make it possible.

      LOL Thanks for commenting.
