Chapter 1.3

Meanwhile, I did have a rather nice looking neighbour named, Jon Lessen.  He was a rocker and a bit of a ladies man, but he was really cute.  I went and introduced myself to him over the first weekend that I moved in and found we got on really well.

Meeting Jon

He was very talented and we spent many hours debating art.  On Saterday afternoons I would go over to his house and listen to him rehearse for his evening show.  He would get completely lost in his music and it was amazing to watch such a talented musician in such an intimate environment.

Some evenings when it was hot, he would come over to my place and we would play in the sprinkler, giggling like kids for hours.  It was fun just to forget the responsibilities of adulthood for those few precious moments.

Sprinkler fun

As much as I liked him, I was unfortunately a kleptomaniac and I found myself compulsively pickpocketing various items of furniture from his home on a number of occasions.  Rather embarrassed after the fact, I discreetly returned the items “anonymously” via mail when I got home.  When I eventually had the courage to confess this to him much later he thought it was hilarious and it endeared me to him even more.

I found myself developing stronger feelings for him and even Odin Crosby became a distant memory.  I knew there were other woman in his life, so I remained his good friend and hoped that one day he might share similiar feelings for me.

That day came sooner than I had expected.  One afternoon he invited me over to his house and confessed that he was very fond of me and would like to be more than friends.  I was so excited, and been an over-emotional sim, I forgot myself and immediately jumped into his arms with joy!

I am so happy

Our work schedules clashed alot, but we tried to spend all our spare moments together after that.  I knew he was rich and that I would never marry him because of the promise I had made to myself, but I still loved him dearly and hoped that some day we might have children together.

Aw… a lady of principles! Maybe Morticia should rob him blind, set fire to his house and hope he’d be poor enough for her to marry him… Only joking! 🙂
